A series of high-calibre events held all over the world will give fans and athletes alike the opportunity to witness the excitement and accuracy of the sport first-hand. Whether you are itching to experience the nail-biting atmosphere of a world cup or cheer on the top shooters at national championships – the schedule is brimming with simply unmissable events. The following lists the dates for a few top events that will have us on the edge of our seats:

2024 OLYMPIC GAMES IN PARIS 

•    Dates: 27 July to 5 August 2024
•    Venue: National Shooting Center in Chateauroux
•    Disciplines: Various competitions for men, women and mixed-gender. The disciplines include: 
     o    For men: 50m small-bore rifle three-position competition, 10m air rifle, 25m rapid-fire pistol, 10m air pistol, skeet and trap.
     o    For women: 50m small-bore rifle three-position competition, 10m air rifle, 25m sports pistol, 10m air pistol, skeet and trap.
     o    Mixed-gender events: 10m air rifle, 10m air pistol and trap.

ISSF WORLD CUP IN MUNICH  

•    Dates: 31 May to 7 June 2024
•    Venue: Munich, Germany
•    Disciplines: There are competitions in a variety of disciplines, including 10m rifle, 10m pistol, 50m rifle and 25m pistol.
•    Standing: This World Cup is particularly important as it will be held shortly before the opening of the Paris Olympic Games. It is therefore the last opportunity for many athletes to improve their global ranking and qualify for the Olympic Games.

2024 GERMAN CHAMPIONSHIP (INCL. SHOOTY CUP)

•    Dates: 22 August to 1 September 2024
•    Venue: Olympic Shooting Range in Munich-Hochbrück
•    Disciplines: Athletes compete in a variety of disciplines, including rifle, pistol and shotgun.
•    Shooty Cup: This competition is a real highlight for younger entrants. Held on 1 September, athletes compete in teams of two junior air rifle and two air pistol shooters. The best eight teams qualify for the final, which is contested by top athletes from the national squads.
