The 9.3x62 was developed around the year 1905 and was to be used especially in the German African colonies of that time. However, very soon the cartridge was used with great success on Central European large game, in particular on moose, red deer and wild boar, so that it did not stay a pure "Africa cartridge". 

The RWS loads with bullet weights from 11.9 g to 19.0 g increase the universality of this popular large game cartridge.

Following on from the ID Classic, the UNI Classic was developed especially for heavy cloven game up to big game. This version reaches into the front softer part with its tip. This means that the projectile mushrooms less but the penetration force is.
