The 6.5x68 is an extremely fast cartridge with a very extended trajectory, an excellent shooting precision and a special suitability for very long shots. The cartridge is predestined for hunting in the mountains for chamois, ibex, lighter wild sheep or Scottish red deer.
The 6.5x68 was already presented as a high-performance cartridge in 1940. With the 6 g RWS soft-point bullet with pointed tip bullet velocities of 1150 m/sec can be well achieved. For the 6.5x68 the 8.2 g RWS cone-point bullet is especially suitable.
